Ochre Court Engagement | Ryan + Katelyn

Ryan and Katelyn were so much fun to work with on their Ochre Court engagement pictures! What I most appreciated about this couple was their adventurous spirit!

On the day of their Newport engagement photos in Newport, it looked as though we would have cloudy skies – perfect for nice soft light. But out of nowhere we got hit with a torrential rain storm. It wasn’t raining cats and dogs, it was raining ELEPHANTS! Ryan and Katelyn had driven an hour to meet me and had limited availability before they moved so we had to make it work! With a little flexibility on their part and a little creativity on my end we were able to transform some otherwise uninteresting buildings and walkways into something special. It allowed us to make the most of our time while waiting for the rain to slow down. (It never really stopped and I looked like a fool taking pictures while wielding a large umbrella and a camera, but it was absolutely worth it!)
