An engagement session, doesn’t document your proposal. Instead, it is a laid-back portrait session planned after the proposal. It helps you get to know your potential wedding photographer and feel comfortable in front the camera. You’ll walk away with sweet memories and photos to remember this exciting time. An engagement photography session usually ends up being like a fun date night!

When to Take Engagement Photos

What to Wear for Newport Engagement Photos

One of the most common questions clients ask Rhode Island engagement photographers is, “What should I wear for engagement photos?” I suggest wearing something comfortable, but not overly casual. You can’t go wrong with a collared shirt for the guy and a long, flowy dress for the lady. Hats and accessories can be added for a fun, classy touch. For timeless engagement pictures, stick with neutral colors, navy, and blush pink.

Bethany was incredible! We had to adjust the timing of our engagement shoot because of weather and she was very flexible and accommodating. She took the time to make sure we got the perfect photos and offered great recommendations as well. She also provided the link to the photos asap so we were able to enjoy them!
