NEWPORT RI PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER

WELCOME, Gentlemen

There comes a time when you know that they’re the one you want to spend forever with. And, after weeks of planning, you’re ready to pop the question. You know that they are going to be through the roof with excitement and you want to remember that moment forever. That’s where I come in -your Newport, RI proposal photographer! I capture that magical moment so that someday your kids and your grandkids can see the love and excitement you’ve had for each other since day one.

What to Expect from Your Rhode Island Proposal Photographer

I take my job as a Rhode Island proposal photographer very seriously. After all, I only get one opportunity to capture the magic! That’s why I place such an emphasis on planning together in advance.

After you book me as your Newport, RI proposal photographer, we will meet up at the location at which you plan to propose (either virtually or in person). We will go over how and where you will be proposing, so that we can work together to find a good angle. This enables me to photograph your moment while still remaining out of sight.

We’ll be in touch up to the day of the proposal to make sure things run smoothly. Then, we’ll meet and capture that special moment. After allowing for you and your loved one to enjoy that sweet moment together, you have the option to do a little mini session where we take some posed shots of you, your fiancé and the ring!

What Time of Day is Best for a Newport Proposal?

From a photographer’s point of view, the best time of day for a proposal, especially a proposal on the beach, is golden hour – the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. At this time, the light is soft, romantic and beautiful and you’ll avoid harsh shadows on the face and body. Check out these two proposals and see the difference for yourself!

Photographing proposals at other times of day is possible, but if you do, I recommend choosing a proposal location with access to shade so we can take your portraits in even lighting. I’m a local, so this is something I can help you with!

Need to know when golden hour will fall on the day of your Newport, RI proposal? Check out this golden-hour calculator or give me a call and I’ll help you figure it out.

Tips for Scheduling Your RI Proposal

I work with gentlemen from all around the country, most of whom aren’t familiar with Rhode Island weather! You never know what you’re going to get around here – it could be hot and sunny one day and cold and rainy the next and the forecasts aren’t always reliable.

That’s why I encourage my clients to plan a little flexibility into their trip to Rhode Island and their Newport proposal plans. If you’re visiting from out of town, give yourself a couple days or times when you might be able to fit in the proposal. I leave a little wiggle room in my schedule for this reason!

It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.

“Totally down to earth, Bethany is a guy’s best friend and someone you need in your corner.”

I cannot thank Bethany enough for her help and quality of work throughout the marriage proposal process. She was not only responsive, but also took the time to scout potential proposal locations in Newport, RI.

Bethany met me a week in advance to walk around the downtown and offer her favorite spots and then went as far as to follow up later that week to scout another location which ended up being “the spot”. Bethany provided a “photo shoot” after I popped the question and sent us a couple dozen pictures later that night that we were able to share with family and friends.

Totally down to earth, Bethany is a guy’s best friend and someone you need in your corner when planning to have a professional photographer capture your special moment. You only get one shot at it, after all. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking of proposing to their loved one in the greater Rhode Island area. Five stars and I’d give more if I could!”

“She was so friendly, professional, and patient with me before, and on the day of the photos.”

I am so happy that I found Bethany to take our engagement photos! Bethany met me in Newport to scope out potential locations and to help me to figure out the perfect spot! She was so friendly, professional, and patient with me before, and on the day of the photos. I was especially nervous as my fiancé has a good eye for photography, but the shots that Bethany was able to capture were amazing and we are both really happy with everything. I would recommend Bethany to anyone looking for a great photographer to capture their special moments!
