Winter Proposal on Goat Island | Chris + Emilie

Chris planned a beautiful proposal to his long time girlfriend Emilie at the lighthouse near the Newport Harbor Island Resort. Summer or winter, it’s the perfect place to catch the sunset for a seaside engagement.

However, when I arrived at the hotel, it wasn’t so lovely – it was closed for renovations! Thankfully, there was still access to the lighthouse! I alerted Chris to the change in plans, and we hoped she wouldn’t notice that the hotel was under construction.

Despite the hotel’s closure, there were still people enjoying the waterfront. We timed it just right, and Chris and Emilie had the lighthouse to themselves. Chris asked Emilie to be his wife and she said yes! Despite the chilly temperatures and hotel closure, the happy couple is officially engaged! Congrats Chris and Emilie!
