One of my favorite places in Newport County for Portsmouth family photos is Sandy Point Beach. Sandy Point Beach is a beautiful location for family photos in Portsmouth because of the variety of settings it offers: sand, dunes, and views of the Sakonnet River. I’m also a big fan of the path leading from the parking lot to the beach, as it adds some touches of greenery to your final gallery.

As a Portsmouth photographer, I also love that Sandy Point Beach has shade in the afternoon! This makes it the perfect location for family photo sessions because it allows us to start sessions sooner, while still having access to good light!
