Spring Proposal at Castle Hill | Toren + Chloe
Oftentimes folks consider summertime as one of the best times to plan a proposal in Newport. However, you might want to consider spring! In fact, Mid April is one of my favorite times to photograph Newport proposals. The city is in full bloom with with over 1,500,000 daffodils making it the perfect backdrop for a joyful springtime proposal. A spring proposal at Castle Hill is especially lovely, with a daffodil studded lawn leading directly to the Bay!
Toren’s proposal to Chloe took place on the Lawn at Castle Hill. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery, Toren asked Chloe to be his wife and she said yes!
Tips For a Spring Proposal at Castle Hill
Castle Hill is a beautiful location for a springtime proposal! There’s a few things that you should know about popping the question there though.
First, Castle Hill is private property and requires the purchase of an engagement package if you want to have a photographer on site. You could likely stage a spontaneous proposal with no issues, but if you wanted professional photos of the moment, you will need to plan ahead.
Second, New England weather is finnicky in the spring, oftentimes windy or rainy with a bit of a chill. Plan a little flexibility into your trip in case of foul weather or rain! Additionally, consider wearing layers and packing a hair tie for her in case it gets windy!
Finally, relax and have fun! Enjoy the moment and try not to get caught up in stress over the details. It’s going to be lovely!
