Fall Senior Pictures in Rhode Island | Kayson

Recently I realized that the month of October is definitely one of my favorite months to be in Rhode Island! The temperature is generally cooler, though sometimes we will have a 70 degree day, and there’s no humidity. Couple the awesome weather with gorgeous fall color and you’ve got the perfect backdrop for some beautiful fall senior pictures!

It was a pleasure taking senior pictures for my nephew Kayson this past Columbus Day weekend. Kayson will be graduating this year from Portsmouth High School. Despite the interruptions he faced this past year and a half as a result of COVID-19, Kayson is working hard. He hopes to attain good grades so that he can achieve his goal of attending community college. It’s difficult to decide a life direction, but with his strengths in math and science, Kayson has many options. Accounting or a career in the medical field are currently at the top of his list of possibilities.

We decided on Glen Farm Stables in Portsmouth, Rhode Island as the backdrop for Kayson’s fall senior pictures. I love this location for so many reasons – it’s such a great location for family, senior, and engagement photos. This time, I hoped that the ivy covering the barns would be red to give us a pop of color. But, we were a bit too early and it was all green! Still, the rustic barns provided the perfect casual backdrop for senior pictures that complemented Kayson’s easy-going, laidback personality.

Kayson, it was a joy to work with you and to hear about your plans for the future. From the short amount of time we spent together, it sounds like you’ve got goals and a strong work ethic. Those two things will take you far in life. Keep up the good work Kayson, and may God bless you in all your endeavors!
