Rhode Island Surprise Proposal | Mike + Alaina

I knew Mike and Alaina’s engagement was going to be a special one, even from our initial phone call. When I asked Mike how he and Alaina had met, he shared “We met in High School and have been happily together ever since, over the course of the last (8) years. We are not only meant for one another, but also each others’ best friends.” He loved her kindness, compassion, and sense of humor as well as her generous and caring personality. Mike wanted photographs of his Rhode Island surprise proposal so that he could remember “her facial expression and hopefully her shocked expression” when he asked her to marry him.

In the week leading up the proposal, Mike and I diligently watched the weather because it looked like rain! Fortunately, the timing was perfect and we had a window of dry weather for the surprise proposal. Mike asked Alaina to marry him at the Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport, RI and she said yes!
