Spring Proposal At Castle Hill Light | John + Gabby
John contacted me about photographing his proposal at Castle Hill Light a month or so before the day. He knew that his proposal to Gabby was a once in a lifetime moment and he wanted to capture the memories! Newport holds many fond memories for the couple, so John knew he wanted to propose in Newport because it’s a place they both love and hold dear. In fact, when I asked John how he knew Gabby was the one, he said “I knew when we went to Newport for the first time on one of our first trips away.”
John and Gabby met on an app in the middle of Covid and over the next few years built a special connection. When I asked John what he loved most about Gabby, he said that he loved “the way she cares for me and that she connects with me in a that way no one else does.” He also admires her personality, which he described as “a bit introverted, but fiercely loyal to people she loves.” When I finally met Gabby at John’s proposal at Castle Hill Light, I could sense her caring personality and see their special connection right away.
John’s proposal at Castle Hill almost got rained out – we actually had to delay the date to Sunday! But it was worth it. After enjoying the Daffy Dog Parade, the couple made their way to Castle Hill where John proposed in front of the lighthouse. And she said yes! It turned out to be a beautiful start to the next chapter of their lives.
