Sweet Berry Farm Engagement | Chris + Lauren

After meeting her for the first time at his job orientation, Chris knew there was something special about Lauren and promptly asked her to dinner! When I asked him tell me a little more about Lauren, he described her as “selfless, caring, and always down to have a good time.” He said that he loved “her heart and her smile.” After several years of dating, Chris knew she was the one and began planning a proposal at Ocean Cliff in Newport.

But it turned out there was a wedding at Ocean Cliff on the day of the proposal! Not wanting to take any chances, we picked a back up location for the proposal that I think was more lovely than the first: Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, RI. Lauren wondered why Chris was acting a little strange that day, because the plan was simply to go to the farm to pick peaches! But she rolled with the plan and found out that there was something sweeter than picking peaches on the agenda: a proposal!

Chris got down on one knee in front of a hedge of hydrangeas and asked Lauren to be his wife. (Fortunately, the bees that had been there earlier, had left!) Completely surprised, she said yes! After their Sweet Berry Farm engagement, the couple enjoyed the activity they had originally come to do…picking peaches.
